Note: We regret that First Church of Christ, Scientist, Manchester, CT has suspended church services and Reading Room hours as of March 1, 2007. Historical note: The church building was originally dedicated in 1851 as the North Methodist Church. The church building was purchased by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Manchester, CT in 1962, and the first Christian Science service in the renovated church was held on June 14, 1964.

The Weekly Bible Lesson, found in the Christian Science Quarterly, is read each Sunday from the desk on the platform and constitutes the sermon. The lesson includes selections from the King James Version of the Bible and related passages from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. Wednesday meetings also include readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook. Time is provided for members of the congregation to share experiences, testimonies, and remarks on Christian Science.
Sunday School	In our Sunday School young people up to the age of 20 learn how the truths from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook can help them in their everyday lives. The Sunday School is located on the lower floor of the church.
Our Children's Room features a mural painted by an early church member. Nursery care is available for very young children during church services.	Children's Room

From 84 EAST from Hartford: Take Exit 62; Buckland St., Manchester. After you reach the stoplight at the end of the long exit ramp, turn right onto Buckland St. Follow Buckland St. through one traffic light to the second traffic light Turn left onto Tolland Turnpike. Follow Tolland Tpke. only for a short distance and then continue straight ahead on North Main St. The church is on the left one mile from the turn onto Tolland Tpke.	From 84 WEST toward Hartford: Take Exit 62; Buckland St., Manchester. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Turn right again onto Buckland St. at the traffic light. Follow Buckland St. for 0.7 mile, through four traffic lights to the fifth traffic light. Turn left onto Tolland Turnpike. Follow Tolland Turnpike only for a short distance and then continue straight ahead on North Main Street. The church is on the left one mile from the turn onto Tolland Tpke.
