Attend a lecture in Hartford Saturday, Saturday, May 5 at 11AM
Attend a lecture in Hartford on Saturday, May 5 at 11AM which will be given by Robin Hoagland, CSB, a A member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. The title for the lecture is Prayer in a Postmodern World.
This talk is an inclusive exploration of how prayer today (as in Biblical times) is able to bring needed changes to our lives, including the healing of incurable conditions and difficult relationships, as well as rebuilding communities. The healing role of The Christian Science Monitor is also woven through the discussion.

Sunday Services
Christian Science services throughout the world present the same weekly lesson, read by two Readers. Each lesson is comprised of Bible scripture and correlated citations from the C.S. textbook on a new subject each week. Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures was written by Mary Baker Eddy, the discover and founder of Christian Science.
Sunday services are held at 10:30 A.M. in our Reading Room at 24 Central Row. (860) 247-5248.
Wednesday Afternoon Service
A Wednesday Testimony meeting is held at 12:30 P.M. in our Reading Room at 24 Central Row. The meeting includes a lesson sermon prepared and read by the First Reader. Ample time is allowed for the congregation to share insights from their study and practice of Christian Science as well as personal accounts of healings.
Visitors are warmly welcomed.
Reading Room
Our Reading Room is located at 24 Central Row, across from the Old State House in the center of Hartford.
Bibles, the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, biographies, and periodicals including the daily C.S. Monitor are sold here. This is the extended hand of Christian Science to the community, welcoming members and newcomers alike - everyone seeking a knowledge of God, of Truth, a meaning to life and practical answers to real problems.
There is always a librarian to encourage or share helpful insights, and there is that most unusual of caring (and free) accommodations - a quiet, peaceful oasis where you may read, ponder, or pray without distraction.
