Welcome to the Christian Science Society Bristol, Connecticut USA!
Sunday Services
Our Sunday service begins at 10:00 A.M. The service consists of hymns, a professional solo, prayer and readings from the Bible and our denominational textbook, Science and Health with Key to the scriptures written by our founder, Mary Baker Eddy.
These readings comprise the Weekly Bible Lesson, read in each branch church. This lesson sermon is available in the Christian Science Quarterly, an authorized publication of The Mother Church in Boston, Ma.
Sunday School
Sunday School for children and young people up to 20 years of age is where they are taught the Scriptures.
The first instruction is based on the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, and the Sermon on the Mount. Discussions are relevant to the student's age, and help students understand God's healing power and it's practical application life experiences. The Sunday School service begins at 10:00 A.M.
Wednesday Evening Services
A service is held the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 P.M. An abbreviated reading from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures is followed by the singing of hymns and testimonies of healing, inspiration and other remarks regarding Christian Science.
Thanksgiving Day Service
Join us for a special service each Thanksgiving Day. This service varies from a Sunday service. Although it includes readings from the Bible and Science and Health, hymns, and a solo, there is also a period during which anyone in the congregation may give testimonies appropriate to this special day.
This service is held at 10:00 A.M. on Thanksgiving morning.
Visitors are always welcome at all services and in our Sunday School.
