Our purpose is to bring evidence of God’s ever-present and all-powerful Love to our community.

Through the weekly study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, members of our church and those who visit receive healing, peace and happiness. We invite you to join us to experience our peaceful, uplifting atmosphere conducive to healing. We promise you a respectful and warm welcome.

Our Location

Our Church and Reading Room are in the same building at 7365 Main Street, Stratford, CT. We’re in the Oronoque Shopping Plaza, off the Merritt Parkway at Exit 53, across the street from Sikorsky Aircraft. Directions

Thanksgiving Service

Join us on Thanksgiving Day, November 27 at 10:30 AM

Sunday Service: 10:30 – 11:30 AM

Wednesday Testimony Meeting: Noon to 1:00 PM

Sunday worship includes hymns, scripture reading, a Bible Lesson, silent and audible prayer.

Testimony Meetings include hymns, readings from the Bible and Science and Health, and prayer.

There is also an opportunity to hear and share testimonies of healing through prayer as well as inspiration gained from the study and application of Christian Science.

Reading Room

At our Reading Room you can find the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy as well as other literature about Christian Science.

The Concord, a computer resource tool, is available for Bible research and for Mrs. Eddy's writings.

Children's books, audio cassettes, and video tapes are available for young people. You'll also find the Christian Science Sentinel, Journal, and Herald and the award winning daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor.

The Librarian will be happy to answer any questions or help you find items of interest. Reading Room materials can be read in the quiet study room, borrowed or purchased.

Our hours are: Mon through Sat: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, except Wed: 1:00 – 4:00 PM.

Church History

The Church was originally located on Lafayette Street in Bridgeport (below).

In 1958 a new edifice was built as a result of the merger of First Church and Second Church of Christ Scientist (left). Then, in 2007 we moved to our current Stratford location just outside Bridgeport.
